Experience Healing and Empowerment through Creation of a Mask of your Guide/Inner Healer
JOURNEY – Through sculpting, painting, and adorning your plaster mold, your personal guide/healer mask emerges. This process is transformative for artists, therapists, healers, and anyone interested in dreams, the mysteries of energy and creativity flows for self-discovery and healing. All levels welcome, no art experience necessary.
A plaster gauze mold will be created on your face in Part I of the workshop. You may work in teams of two or request the instructor to apply your mask. You will have the opportunity to paint and adorn your mask in Part II of the workshop (masks need one week to dry thoroughly).

WORKSHOP FEE: $130 (Includes $40 Materials Fee, Paints and Tools)
LOCATION: Bothwell Arts Center, 2466 8TH Street, Livermore, CA 94550
Materials Fee includes all plaster mask making gauze, materials and tools -- a variety of art supplies (acrylic paint, tools, hanging wire, beads, feathers, fabric, patterns, decorative paper and old books, natural materials, etc.). Please collect and bring personal items for your mask (e.g. locks of hair, special mementos, images, photos, jewelry, etc.)

Workshop Part II: CREATIVE PROCESS CLASS (There will be a relaxing short meditation and a glass of wine to begin the class and then create!)
A selection of her masks are on display at the Livermore Art Association Gallery located at 2155 Third Street in Livermore, California. Their hours are Sunday 10:00 AM to 2:30 PM; Wednesday-Saturday 11:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
Carol Faber-Peake received her Masters in Transformative Arts within John F. Kennedy University’s Holistic Studies and is certified to teach Faces of the Soul Mask Making by Kaleo Ching and Elise Ching.
