Blog(posted on 10 Nov 2024)
In 2020 I moved to Alameda, California from Livermore, California into an adorable cottage (ADU according to City description!). This gave me not only my own wonderful home but my own on-site studio (converted 2nd bedroom). The Gallery in Livermore, California was visited by so many art patrons we could hardly keep up. As always there were a few artists who moved or moved on and we welcomed a few new artists with varied subject matters, mediums and more! 2024 was a very good year for me. This was a year for introspection for me and I took a break from painting and concentrated instead on my personal life and more grandchildren - 13 to be exact. I love them all and they are all very special and unique. 2024 was also a year for decisions about change, I retired from the Livermore Art Association Gallery in Livermore, California. I had twelve wonderful, happy, enriching and exciting years with them. In 2025 I will be stepping up to my easel again with new Winsor & Newton water soluble oil paints at the ready. I stepped away in 2022 from the traditional oil paints and chose to use the safer water soluble oils. I love Winsor & Newton and was so excited to see the addition of the water soluble line. Can't wait to get started. But the holidays are first and foremost to me and my family. Wishing you all the best and safe holidays for all. See you in 2025! Carol Faber Peake |
